I believe this is my 3-4 time to stay there. We
enjoy this resort because of the location and the wonderful views. We are also close to nature we can on occasion see a bear or two. Being on the river we can also see the Geese and the ducks and occasional fish in the water not to mention being surrounded by the beautiful mountains. The staff were exceptional they checked on us daily to make sure all our needs were met. Very Friendly. Made us feel welcome and made our trip extra special. I highly recommend and will be back! Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. We had a great view from our balcony. We always like staying within walking distance to everything in Gatlinburg and this place was great for that except for the fact that it was at the top of the hill.
Very steep hill. Maybe if they had a golf cart or some kind of ride at the main office that could take you back up the hill after walking around town all day would be great. Also the water pressure in the shower was terrible. Just terrible. Not much furniture in the room, could have used a small table and chairs of some kind. Also no breakfast of any kind. The restaurant that is there, on site, was closed. Like I said we like staying within walking distance and this place was perfect for that
and we will probably stay here again. Hopefully in one of the lower buildings next time. Ceiling looked like it had water damage, toilet was loose at base, cabinets were
old and there was mold in one under the sink. Air conditioner was so far off the floor that I could not see to operate it, had to get a chair, I am 5’3”. Parking was awful due to spots being so narrow. It was very difficult to get my large SUV in them. Website advertised a restaurant but it was closed for remodeling. Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities The room was dirty and smelled musty. The tub was horrible, and the carpet was stained. There was no water pressure at all. The sheets didn't fit the bed, so they kept coming off. When we arrived, we were told there would be no maid service. This was the worst 3-star hotel I have ever stayed in.
