Discussion Starter · #1 · 8 mo ago Hi today our Jeep suddenly announced all of these faults at once: Sound System Unavailable I found lots about this on Google. I found lots of Jeep drivers (Compass and Renegade) and also Fiat 500x drivers with the same issue. Many people highlight a
problem with U connect. This seems to have been a recurrent issue since 2016. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to fix it, please? My wife, our son, and I are all needing the vehicle to attend to patients but it will be declared unroadworthy with errors flashing up when you start the car. I can see it's a common problem that's been occurring for at least six years and has previously taken months and many trips to dealerships to fix, however, it's likely to be a loose connection
somewhere or something like that. If it's a U connect problem can we just reinstall U connect? Is it stored on the vehicle in a device that could fail like a HDD or memory stick somewhere? We have one Jeep garage nearby and they are really useless (even for sales) and prohibitively expensive. All of these systems cant have failed simultaneously. Please can you help?

temperature in the inside of the car before start (!) above 18 degree celsius. For example, go in a heated garage, or with an electric heater. The failure will most possibly gone! At least, it is the case with my Renegade. I bring the car to the dealership tomorrow to fix the issue. Let me know...! Ciao Gabor

All of these systems cant have failed simultaneously. Please can you help? Hello, My name is John. I too had problems
with the Uconnect System on my new Jeep Renegade 4xe Trailhawk (MY2021). I beleive I have now resolved this issue. Successive visits to the dealershipt were necessary, however. My problem was specific to the Sound System Unavailable (on a bran new Jeep!). Let me just tell you that many people have encountered this problem. My new friend Gabor, who has also commented on this post, have concluded that the problem is temperature related - this is our best guess anyway. When the car is cold (below 10 C) this error message will often appear. When the car is warm (above 10 C) this problem seldom occurs. Sounds crazy but, after much expermentation, this appears to be a contributing factor. Local Jeep dealerships are not equiped to deal with this problem. They will need to contact the manufacturer to resolve this problem as they did in my case. Jeep Italy transmitted a software patch / upgrade (don't really know what to call it) to Jeep Greece and the local dealership installed it on my car. Sense then, I have not had this issue come up again. Of course we don't get very many days in Athens, Greece, with temperatures below 10 C, but on those few days the weather did go below this temperature, I did not experience the problem. Regards,
