Power steering Hose replacement

Hello,
I am complete auto newbie!
But I got my civic since 2007 and want to fix this issue.
My civic leaked while driving, from the symptoms and through forums here i realized it was power steering fluid. I visually followed hoses but could not find leak. Then got underneath car and noticed this.
Again I dont know much but from web I found that this may be the return line, please correct.

On the picture at arrow, this line is touching exhaust. There is bit of flat on tube where it touches exhaust, I believe this is my leak! Now what I can think is that there is clamp that was holding this line to somewhere but that bolt or screw has either broken off or one of my mechanic forgot to attach in past or etc etc.
NOW I need help from wizards here , How do I replace this line and install new? Is it something doable for not so auto person? Q.2 -where do I bolt that clamp again so that line stays in place and not touch exhaust again.
Than you Everyone!

Re: Power steering Hose replacement

That is actually your power steering feed hose, part number 53713-SNA-A06. Nice work on doing some troubleshooting before coming to the forums though, we all appreciate that! From the looks of it I definitely wouldn't say that's an easy fix, going to take some work to get the hose out. If you don't have much experience working on cars I would recommend taking it to a shop.

Here is all I could come up with showing where that bracket is supposed to bolt, hopefully that's enough to go on. It would be the bolt/bracket on the right (labeled A).

Can you replace a power steering hose yourself?

Place a drain pan under the pressure hose connection at the steering rack or gearbox. Using a flare nut wrench, loosen and remove the pressure hose fittings from the steering rack / gearbox and the power steering pump. Install the new power steering pressure hose, making sure to route it the same as the old hose.

How much does it cost to get a power steering hose replace?

Like all car parts, your power steering hoses will wear down and need to be replaced. On average, it will cost about $500 to have a professional replace your power steering hoses. The typical price range is between $300 on the low end up to $800 on the higher end.

How much does it cost to replace high

The average cost for power steering pressure hose replacement is between $125 and $485, although some models may be more expensive.

Can you patch a leaking power steering hose?

We use a little known secret called Ferrul-Fix. Ferrul-Fix is a special hose fitting which makes it possible to salvage the bent tube section of the original power steering hose, transmission hose, or even AC hose and only replace the middle part.
