"XL Week" is set to bring extra luxurious prizes and extra large puzzles together for a few extra lucky winners!

Wheel of Fortune is gearing up for the premiere of its 40th season next week, and with it, the show is set to unveil a special week of supersized prizes.

The season is set to premiere on Sept. 12 and will reportedly welcome returning hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White, along with bigger and better prizes–including double the chances to win $1 million–as stated in a recent press release.

To kick off Season 40, CBS and Sony Pictures announced the show would host a special “XL Week”–a play on the roman numeral 40 and coined abbreviations for 'extra luxurious' prizes, 'extra large' puzzles, and 'extra lucky' winners.

The show's producers previously teased XL Week in a behind-the-scenes video from the new season that was shared to Instagram last week. In the post, Pat Sajak's daughter Maggie, who serves as social correspondent for the show, can be seen on set as she hyped up the crew and fans for its upcoming return to the screen.

"Season 40," one crew member gleefully stated before another responded, "We're going XL!"

According to the release, during XL Week, not only will contestants have double the chances to win $1 Million with up to two full $1 Million wedges on the Wheel, but when they bring the $1 Million to the bonus round their chances are doubled because a second $1 Million envelope will be added to the Bonus Wheel.

The official statement also explained that this week would also introduce the "XL Wedge," which offers Wheel of Fortune contestants the chance to win an additional $40,000–and when the player takes the XL Wedge to the bonus round, they're eyeing a minimum win of $80,000!

Viewers can also score, with a chance to win the Prize Puzzle featured in the round and the XL Bonus Round prize.

After XL Week, gameplay is said to return to normal. However, the minimum amount that can be won on the Bonus Wheel has been raised to $40,000 in honor of the show’s 40th season in syndication. Fans can also expect to see the return of familiar theme weeks throughout the upcoming season, including College Week, Veterans Week, and Secret Santa.
