The UCSF Ankylosing Spondylitis Clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, an inflammatory condition that affects the joints between the spinal bones and between the spine and pelvis. We offer the latest diagnostic techniques, with a particular focus on identifying the disease early using specialized examination techniques and magnetic resonance imaging. Treatment options include the newest medications, though we emphasize other treatments as well. For example, we encourage patients to work with UCSF physical therapists to learn exercises that address the disease. Our locationsOur teamAwards & recognition
