Search Inventory Trim LevelsThe Tradesman starts the 1500 lineup with 18-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, and heated side mirrors with a power-adjustment feature. Step up to the Big Horn for alloy wheels, and the option for power-folding mirrors and a fully damped tailgate. The Rebel is the off-road 1500 and comes with LED headlights, off-road bumpers, and all-terrain tires. It also has skid plates and tow hooks. A bump up to the Laramie gets you the LED headlights and auto-dimming exterior mirrors along with interior upgrades. The Laramie Longhorn comes with 20-inch wheels, side steps, and a power tailgate release, and for more upgrades, choose the Limited. This model comes standard with Ram's air suspension, and it adds power-deployable running boards. EngineThe standard engine on the Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter V-6 with the eTorque system. This combination produces 305 horsepower and works with an eight-speed automatic transmission. An optional 5.7-liter V-8 will get 395 horsepower and also has the eTorque system, or you can get the new Ecodiesel V-6 with 260 horsepower and a class-leading 480 pound-feet of torque. PerformancePowertrains with the eTorque system provide the 1500 with some of the best fuel economy numbers for a pickup truck in this class. The new diesel engine is quiet and responsive and works with a smooth-shifting transmission. The V-6 gives the 1500 the power to tow up to 6,250, but the larger engines can tow up to 12,750 pounds, depending on how you have it configured. InteriorDepending on the cab and the configuration, the Ram 1500 can seat up to six people. All models have a sleek modern interior with high-quality materials and the option for luxury features. The Tradesman starts with vinyl upholstery, but just one step up gets you the option for heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Laramie adds leather upholstery and ventilated front seats, and the Laramie Longhorn adds wood trim. Technology in the 1500 includes an 8.4-inch touch screen in the Laramie and above, along with the Uconnect infotainment system and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Laramie Longhorn even gets a CD player. Wireless smartphone charging, navigation, and a 12-inch touch screen display are available as options depending on the trim. Safety FeaturesAll the 1500 models have a backup camera, trailer sway control, and anti-lock disc brakes. The Limited adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, and if you bump up to one of the higher trims, you'll get the option for forward collision warning with automatic braking and a lane-keeping assist system. Adaptive cruise control is an available safety option, and you can also get a surround-view parking camera system and an automatic parking assist system.
