TOP OF PAGE What is positive and negative number?Any number above zero is a positive number . Positive numbers can either be written without a sign or with a + sign in front of them. Any number below zero is a negative number . Negative numbers are always written with a - sign in front of them.
How do you count negative numbers on a number line?Summary. Negative numbers are on the left side of 0 on the number line. The negative numbers are a mirrored image of the numbers on the right side of 0 on the number line (positive numbers). Hence this portion of the number line is called the negative number line.
