The City of Melbourne's is planning a “blast” of an event for the Fourth of July celebration fireworks 2022 display — an experience that thousands of citizens and guests look forward to each year at Front Street Park.

Approximately 8:10 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Skydiving show
9 p.m.: Fireworks start (weather permitting)

In the event of rain, the fireworks display will be rescheduled to July 5. There will be no bus service or skydiver performance on the rain date.

Cape Canaveral

Fireworks before the Fireworks: Bring lawn chairs and blankets to the Exploration Tower at Port Canaveral, 670 Dave Nisbet Drive, for this family-friendly fireworks event on Saturday, July 2 at 5 p.m. There will be bounce houses, face painting, food trucks and more. Fireworks begin after dark. Admission is free, but a limited number of VIP tickets are available for $35 to view the fireworks display from the observation deck at the Exploration Tower. Cocoa 

Symphony Under the Stars: Brevard Symphony Orchestra will give a free concert at Riverfront Park, Cocoa, at 8 p.m. Monday, July 4. Fireworks will follow the concert at 9:15 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Prior to the concert, those who wish to have a VIP experience can join BSO supporters, musicians and staff at a barbecue at 6:30 p.m. at the Cocoa Civic Center. Tickets to the VIP BBQ are $60 for Brevard Symphony Orchestra subscribers, $75 for non-subscribers, and include dinner, dessert, reserved parking and reserved concert seating. Cocoa Beach Fireworks: The City of Cocoa Beach will host a fireworks display at Fischer Park Beach, 2200 N. Atlantic Ave., starting at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 3. The park will be closed to pedestrians and cars all day. Visit visitspacecoast.com.

Indialantic

Fourth of July Concert: The Melbourne Municipal Band will partner with the choir at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 106 Riverside Drive, Indialantic, for a patriotic concert on Monday, July 4 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Visit mmband.org.

Firecracker 5K: The 5K run/walk will be at Eau Gallie Square, 1453 Highland Ave., Melbourne, starting at 6:45 a.m. Monday, July 4. There will be finisher medals and red, white and blue popsicles for all finishers. There will be special awards for the top 3 local heroes representing military, fire or police service. 4th of July parade: The parade through downtown Melbourne will start at 10 a.m. Monday, July 4. It will stage at the Liberty Bell Museum, 1601 Oak Street, Melbourne, and proceed south on Hickory Street and east on E. ‘Lifting Up God & Country’: Jesus Is the Key Church hosts this community celebration at Wickham Park Amphitheater, 2500 Parkway Drive, Melbourne, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 4. Activities will include a parade of state flags at 1 p.m., jump castles, raffles, hot dogs and more. Admission is free. Call 321-773-1489 or visit jitk.org.

MelBOOM: The City of Melbourne hosts a 4th of July fireworks celebration starting at 9 p.m. at Front Street Park, 2210 Front Street, Melbourne. From approximately 8:10 to 8:30 p.m., there will be a skydiving show by the Air Sports Parachute Team. Attendees are encouraged to park at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 Hibiscus Blvd., and use a free shuttle service to Front Street Park. Buses will run continuously from 7 to 9 p.m, and resume after the fireworks show. In the event of rain, the fireworks will be rescheduled to July 5. Fireworks viewing at Green Gables: Celebrate July 4 on the grounds of Green Gables, 1501 S. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, overlooking the Indian River Lagoon. The event is from 7 to 10 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the music and watch the Melbourne fireworks. Food and water available for purchase; alcohol is prohibited. Admission is $10 per car in advance, or $15 per car at the door. Parking is available at the Reflections building to the north of the property. Tours of the house will be offered for $10 per person until dusk. Visit greengables.org.

Merritt Island 

Independence Day Parade: The Veterans Memorial Center and the Brevard County Sheriff's Office will host the parade on July 4 starting at 10 a.m. It starts at Merritt Island High School, proceeding south on Courtenay Pkwy., then east on Merritt Ave., and ends at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High. After the parade, a celebration with food trucks will take place at the Veterans Memorial Center, 400 S. Sykes Creek Pkwy., Merritt Island. Call 321-264-7755.

Palm Bay 

Independence Day Celebration: The City of Palm Bay’s event will return to the Palm Bay campus of Eastern Florida State College, 250 Community College Pkwy SE, on Saturday, July 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. It will feature more than 20 food trucks, vendors, live music by Blue Stone Circle, and a kids’ zone with free inflatables, games and face painting. Fireworks will cap off the evening around 9:15 p.m. No pets, fireworks, sparklers, drones, or alcohol will be permitted. Call 321-726-2760 or visit palmbayflorida.org. 

Port St. John 

Thunder Over the Indian River: The Port St. John Community Foundation hosts this free outdoor event at the OUC Indian River Plant, 7800 S. US1 on Saturday, July 2 from 4 to 10 p.m. It will include live entertainment, bounce houses, games, prizes and more. Tickets for the Red, Hot & BBQ contest, which include BBQ samples, raffles and voting for the People’s Choice awards, are $10. Rockledge 

July 4th Picnic: The City of Rockledge will host an Independence Day picnic at Mc Larty Park, 790 Barton Blvd., Rockledge, on Monday, July 4 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. It will include activities, games, music and more. Suntree 

‘Suntree Stars and Stripes’: The Melbourne Municipal Band will give a patriotic concert at Suntree United Methodist Church, 7400 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, on Sunday, July 3. The event starts at 4 p.m. with an outdoor picnic, a scavenger hunt and lawn games, followed by the indoor concert at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free. Call 321-242-2585 or visit mmband.org.

Red, White and Boom: The City of Titusville will host a free family event in conjunction with the fireworks display on Monday, July 4 starting at 7 p.m. Enjoy music, food, business vendors and other family friendly activities in Chain of Lakes Park, 2300 Truman Scarborough Way, Titusville. How can I watch the fireworks in Melbourne?

Kings Domain, Treasury Gardens, Flagstaff Gardens & Docklands are the 4 main Live Sites best for viewing the fireworks. Free Music DJs, Special effects, Multimedia countdown, food and beverages, facilities all organised by the City of Melbourne. The Official Live Sites times are from 9pm to 1am.
Unfortunately, Florida State Statute 791.01 prohibits the use of Fireworks, the City of West Melbourne Police Officers will be responding to calls involving Fireworks. A warning will be issued for the first time offense, further action will be taken only if necessary and compliance isn't obtained with a warning.
