Jeep xj 3.5 coil springs

This short video covers all you need to know about the basics of how typical Coil Springs work compared to MetalCloak's True Dual Rate Coils.

What is Corner Travel Index?

Since 2014 MetalCloak has tested thousands and thousands of rigs at events all across the county collecting specs on the build and cataloging the results. The data collected allows us to make our own products better.

FMVSS 126 Compliant

MetalCloak not only has the best off road flex, but we are also Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 126 certified and compliant. No other company can match our on- and off-road performance.

What are True Dual Rate Coils?

MetalCloak True Dual Rate™ Coils have one of the longest free length in the industry for greater articulation without sacrificing the OEM ride quality.

Without the advantage of the Dual Rate Design, the required Spring Rate would be too low and "squishy" -- just loading your Jeep up with supplies would affect ride height and quality.

True Dual Rate Coils Create A "Virtual" Bucket!

By effectively lowering the bucket on the coil, you get a much more stable ride that reduces the potential for buckling. (Learn More about True Dual Rate Coils)

Performance: True Dual Rate Coils have been engineered to perform best with Duroflex control arms and 6Pak or RockSport shocks.

True Dual Rate Coils: MetalCloak does not recommend powder coating your True Dual Rate coils. The baking process in powder coating can, in some cases, cause the metallurgical properties of the coils to be changed, resulting in the loss of the lift properties of the coils. As such, the process of powder coating the coils will void any warranty stated or implied in relation to the coils.

Vehicle Alignment: We recommend you have a suspension specialist align your Jeep once a MetalCloak suspension is installed.

Tuff Country's EZ-Ride coil springs for Jeep Cherokee are designed to give a smooth ride while remaining extremely durable for off-road situations. Each coil spring is shot peened for long life and stronger tensile strength. The coils are pre-set to reduce height changes. Powder coating is used to protect against corrosion and rust.
