Aren't the map lights the ones under the mirror? I replaced the dome lights on my 2013 JK and now the color doesn't match. Did you replace the footwell lights?

Apr 3, 2013 I think the mp lights are the ones above the front row seats, the dome light is the one in the back (unlimited). There are 2 lights that I see from outside that are under the mirror, though.

If you replace the rear dome light with a LEd light not compatible with Canbus, the lights under the rear view mirror will stay on. Discussion Starter · #9 · Apr 14, 2013 I wound up just removing the bottom piece of the mirror which pops off and unplugging the wire that powers the lights then put it back together. Problem solved.

Never mind.... I got it! Pried off the bottom plastic plate.... Lifted the circuit board and unplugged the map lights... Put it all back together. Done & Done

The map lights under the mirror are already LEDs, if you want to change out the LEDs then you need to pull the circuit board out, unsolder the old LEDs and solder in the new ones. If you are making a big color change, like going to red lights, you can use colored glass and glue it inside the cone as a lens. I changed all of mine to red,

those to red LED as well, but the dealership has been worthless!! The narrow side on the drivers side is where you want to gently pry on the rear dome light. The best way I found to get the small map lights out is to use a tooth pick or a very small screw driver after the light is out to wedge the bulb forward from is holder. Hope that helps.
