On 7th Generation Mazda infotainment systems a black screen may be caused by inadvertently pressing the power OFF button (also known as the volume dial). You can troubleshoot this issue by pressing and holding the power button to turn the infotainment screen back ON. Volume, Display and Sound

For an optimal listening experience, you can customize the sound in your vehicle.

  • Adjust volume using the commander volume knob
  • Customize active driving display (AD-DISP) if equipped

Adjust volume using the commander volume knob:

  1. Adjust volume of phone calls, navigation, music, etc. by turning the commander volume knob clockwise to increase volume, turn counterclockwise to decrease volume.
  2. Short-press the commander volume knob to turn MUTE On or Off.
  3. The volume button on the steering wheel can also be pressed to adjust volume.

  2. Select AD-DISP tab.

Customize touch screen display:

  1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
  2. Select DISPLAY tab.
  3. Select Display.
    1. Press Off to turn touch screen display Off.
    2. Touch screen display can be turned on by pressing any button on the commander.
  4. Select System to adjust touch screen display according to time of day.
    1. Press Day, for daytime mode.
    2. Press Night, for night mode.
    3. Press Auto to let screen automatically switch according to headlight illumination conditions.
  5. Select Brightness, use slider to adjust touch screen display brightness as desired.
  6. Select Contrast, use slider to adjust touch screen display contrast as desired.
  7. Select Restore Factory Settings to reset screen to original settings, press Yes to confirm.

  3. Select Bass (low pitch sound), slide to enhance or reduce.
  4. Select Treble, slide to enhance or reduce.

  7. Select Auto Level Control (standard audio) for automatic volume adjustment at 7 levels.

      1. Select Far, Med. or Near.

  3. Select Door Lock.
  4. Select your desired settings.
  5. Select Keyless Lock Beep Volume, select to set volume at High, Medium, Low or Off.
  6. Select Door Relock Time, select to set automatic relocking at 90, 60 or 30 seconds.
  7. Select Unlock Mode to select your desired settings.
