HELP!!! Last edited: Nov 23, 2008
Ok, I just found this on internet, incase anyone else has the same issue: white chalk on ugg boots.
some people also said to a use a white eraser, but a few have replied: The eraser method does NOT work! it damages your uggs. You basically are scraping off all the delicate sheep skin. Tried the eraser thing. If you look your sheepskin comes off. It does ruin your boots.
anyway.... incase anyone else would like to know...
Have anyone elses Uggs survived an oil stain??
Sophie, how much coffee have you had????? LOL, that's so funny. hehehe.
I always use baby powder or cornstarch on grease stains, just pat it on gently, let sit for a while, and brush it off. Works like a charm!
BABY POWDER alllllll the way! It works like a charm for all oil and grease stains on anything. Rub it on the stain and let it sit for an hour or so, not long. Shake it off and woila!!!! Stain will be gone
^^ wow, thanks for the confirmation, i should have came here to ask you ladies instead of doing what i did, oh well. we all live to learn and learn to live.
This always works. When you have a grease stain, use baby powder. Put a lot on it and let it sit for a few days. Shake it off and if it still looks greasy, pour more on and wait. A dog buried his greasy chicken bone in my suitcase on top of a silk blouse. I had to apply several times but the grease came
out. haha, this is reallllly funny. cute funny.
Sophie, how much coffee have you had????? hahaha
yay! thanks for the update that the baby powder actually worked. b/c i don't have any baby powder and somebody else mentioned that corn starch works, i'll be sure to remember corn starch the next time this catastrophy happns.
Bumping thread from the grave. Just dropped a chicken wing on my brand new Dakotas. I'm praying that the baby powder works
Didn't come off! Oh man. I'm going to try leaving some baby powder on it overnight and try rubbing it in the morning again. How do you get an oil stain out of suede boots? For oil or grease stains on suede shoes, apply cornstarch to the area and allow it to soak up the excess grease for a few hours. Gently scrape off the cornstarch with a brush. Repeat as needed until the spot is gone. For grease stains that have dried, clean the area with a small amount of dish soap.
Will baking soda remove oil from Uggs? But if you're tackling stains, baking soda can also help, specifically for grease and oil stains. Blot the stain with a clean cloth to absorb surface liquid. Sprinkle baking soda over the stain. After a few hours, use a shoe brush to gently wipe the baking soda away.
How do you clean suede Uggs without ruining them?Suede brush with nylon bristles.. Prep your boot. Use the suede brush to gently give your boot a good once over. ... . Use sponge to wet the boot. Dip the sponge in clean, cool water and moisten the entire boot. ... . Clean with suede cleaner. ... . Rinse with cotton cloth. ... . Stuff the inside with paper towel. ... . Let air dry.. How do you get a deep stain out of Uggs?Mix a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Using a cloth, dab the solution on salt stains. Rinse with a cloth dipped in water and blot with a dry cloth.
