How to reset Apple ID password on iPhone and iPad

1. Open Settings and tap the Apple ID banner.
2. Tap Password & Security.
3. Select Change Password.
   

4. Enter your iPhone or iPad passcode when asked.
5. Type the new password twice and tap Change.
   

You can use the same steps even if you have forgotten your current Apple ID password.

   On macOS Ventura, it is System Settings.

1. Install the Apple support app on their iPhone.
   You can also use an iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 12 or later.
2. Scroll down and tap Reset Password.

   If your ID is already there, select that and tap Continue.
4. Enter the Apple ID and password.
5. Enter any of the linked numbers and tap Done.
