How many days can dog take a bath after vaccine

I made the mistake of brushing my puppy after her rabies shot and not noticing the first time she winced. The injection site was very tender. It took forever to get her comfortable with the brush again.

Edit to add: this was either the same day or day after the shot, it didn’t last long

The only time you don't want to give a dog a bath is when they get their flea and tick treatment, like fronline, or something similar. Then, it's not recommended to bathe them for three days after flea treatment.

Always inform your veterinarian if your pet has had prior reactions to any vaccine or medication. If in doubt, wait for 30-60 minutes following vaccination before taking your pet home. Aside from potential collapse, it appears that vaccination is a pretty innocuous procedure (no pun intended). This is a pretty short and not-very-scary list.

Feed them the same puppy food as they had before and keep the same routine with small, regular meals. Continuing puppy toilet training by rewarding them when they go outside. 12 weeks onwards - puppy training and socialisation. Your puppy can have their second vaccinations around now, also ask your vet about worming, flea treatment and neutering.
