How long do toyota camry hybrids last

Yes, the 2023 Camry Hybrid is a great hybrid car. Like the nonhybrid Camry, this Toyota has an airy and well-constructed cabin, comfortable seating in both rows, respectable cargo space and agreeable driving dynamics. Its hybrid powertrain sweetens the pot by providing good fuel economy estimates and a slight boost in off-the-line acceleration. Some rivals are more exciting to drive and have more high-tech infotainment systems, but the Camry Hybrid is a solid vehicle that succeeds in most respects.

Should I Buy the 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid?

The Camry Hybrid is worth considering if you’re interested in a feature-packed and fuel-efficient sedan with good passenger and cargo space. If you’re willing to sacrifice some fuel economy for a more upscale cabin and better driving dynamics, the Honda Accord Hybrid is worth a look. If you want a hybrid with a capacious cargo and passenger area – and you’re willing to overlook its underwhelming powertrain – the Toyota Prius might be your best bet.

2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid Versus the Competition

Toyota Camry Hybrid vs. Honda Accord Hybrid

The Honda Accord Hybrid is closely matched with its Toyota rival, as both vehicles feature smooth rides and spacious passenger areas. These two hybrid sedans differ in some notable ways, though. The Accord Hybrid offers more energetic handling than the Camry Hybrid, and its cabin is a bit more upscale. On the downside, the Honda’s fuel economy is not as impressive as the Toyota’s, and both vehicles feel a bit underpowered passing or merging on the highway.

Toyota Camry Hybrid vs. Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is another great hybrid sedan that gives the Camry Hybrid a run for its money. Compared to the Toyota, the Sonata Hybrid has a more high-tech and upscale cabin, more standard driver-assistance features and similar fuel economy estimates. It also has a slightly larger trunk. The Toyota offers more passenger space than the Hyundai, which is important to consider if you regularly plan on ferrying passengers in the back row.

Camry Hybrid Interior: Spacious and Feature-Packed

2023 Camry Hybrid Interior Quality

The 2023 Camry Hybrid has a well-built and attractive cabin, though lower trims have an excessive amount of visible hard plastics that detract from its appeal. Upper-trim models take on a near-luxury feel thanks to upmarket features like genuine leather upholstery and wood trim.

2023 Camry Hybrid Infotainment, Bluetooth and Navigation

The Camry Hybrid’s infotainment system is easy to operate and offers a robust set of features, but it lags behind the competition in a few ways. Its graphics are outdated, and the available 9-inch touch screen lacks the high resolution that some competitors’ displays offer. Input response times can be sluggish, too. It works well most of the time, though, and there are plenty of redundant physical controls for audio and climate functions.

  • Standard infotainment features: a 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, Bluetooth and two USB ports
  • Available infotainment features: a 9-inch touch screen, navigation, wireless device charging and a nine-speaker JBL audio system
  • Additional standard features: dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start and proximity keyless entry
  • Other available features: a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a moonroof

2023 Camry Hybrid Cargo Space

The Camry Hybrid has 15.1 cubic feet of trunk space, which is average for a hybrid car. This is the same amount of room available in the nonhybrid Camry. Longer items can be loaded into the vehicle easily thanks to standard 60/40-split-folding rear seats.

How Many People Does the 2023 Camry Hybrid Seat?

The Camry Hybrid seats five people. Upfront, seating is comfortable, supportive and spacious. The back row is fairly comfy as well, with sufficient legroom for most adults.

2023 Camry Hybrid and Child Car Seats

There are two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats and a tether anchor for the rear middle seat. This LATCH system is among the easiest and most versatile to use.

Camry Hybrid Performance: Fuel-Efficient and Easygoing

2023 Camry Hybrid Powertrain

All 2023 Camry Hybrid models come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, and they combine to produce 208 horsepower. This system provides peppy acceleration, though you’ll be left wanting more power when passing and merging on the highway. The continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) works smoothly, but it can cause an unpleasant droning sound when the accelerator is pressed firmly.

2023 Camry Hybrid Gas Mileage

The 2023 Camry Hybrid gets great fuel economy, though some of its hybrid car rivals are more fuel-efficient. The base SE model gets an EPA-estimated 51 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway, while higher trims get an estimated 44/47 mpg city/highway.

2023 Camry Hybrid Ride and Handling

The Camry Hybrid gets mostly positive reviews for its ride and handling. Handling is well-controlled and confident, though some critics deride the Toyota for having numb steering. A pliant suspension results in a comfortable ride. The regenerative brakes feel grabby at lower speeds, but they operate smoothly otherwise.
