The series of math textbooks by McDougal-Littell are excellent, not to be confused with the "workbooks"! The workbooks are intended for use as examples. As in the photo I provided, someone has to work out the problems in order to assist a student. The text usually provides enough information to figure them out, but not always. Parents can become frustrated in the process. As a high school math teacher for 20 years and now a co-op homeschool teacher, I've seen lots of confusion by parents and students. The worst problem with this workbook is that not only are there no answers worked out, but no answers at all! So accept it for what it is. It's a workbook for a parent to learn and process the problems with their child. Use the textbook to verify the process, but not necessarily to check the answers for accuracy! Reviews with images

My son lost his algebra book reboot last year and we had to replace it. Great value! Images in this review Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2015 This is a very good text. I doing a refresher on my math and this is helping me very much. The reason for four stars is not due to condition of the book or content, but rather the fact that all the references to internet support are no longer valid. I tried and was re-directed to a site that was more interested in selling me support. I would recommend this to any student as an additional text. Update: found an error on 733, Ex. 6. a sign was dropped or glossed over. As it appears in the text it shows taking the square root of a negative number which is undefined at this point. The expression should be "-4(-6.03)(901) under the radical. Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2013 I hate math and will always. Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2020 Good for my son while school was out. Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2015 I got this book so I could tutor a middle school kid on Algebra 1. The textbook itself was okay. knowing that it is what my student's county used for Algebra 1 class. The only thing I did not like about this textbook is that there are only answers to odd-numbered practice questions in the back of the book. I don't know if they sell a separate answer booklet for even-numbered practice questions. That threw me off when I was teaching because I would have to solve each questions myself to confirm my student's answers. Algebra 1 is not hard but it was a hassle to solve the questions myself when I did not need to. Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2012 The first book we purchased from Amazon.com was an Algebra 1 which we needed within the next week to replace our childs' book she somehow lost the last quarter of the semester. We order the book and it came within 3 days and we were able to turn it in as a replacement for the book she lost and she was able to receive her report card, which would have been held up until the book was returned or replaced. A new book would have been $78.00. We paid less than $20.00 with shipping and it was in good condition. Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2017 Very good workbook for my son self practice at home during the summer. This workbook does not show you how to solve the problems like the school textbook. It's just for kids to review what they've learned last year. If you don't have good math skills, don't buy it for your kids. BTW, don't expect to give this book to your kids and you go watch Dr Phil.
