Even though I personally own the Galaxy Z Fold 3, I had not heard of this case until fairly recently. The Libeagle Z Fold 3 case offers a unique take on protection on usefulness compared to others. Not only will this keep your hinge safe from the elements, but the protective hinge cover also doubles as the home for your S Pen. Then, there’s a magnetic kickstand on the back of the case, making it easy to prop up your phone without finding a different solution.

When it comes to protective cases, few case makers can match what SUPCASE offers. The Unicorn Beetle Pro provides as much protection as you could imagine, and it’s not available for the Z Fold 3. This case has been drop-tested and can withstand up to a 20-foot drop while sporting a built-in screen protector for the Cover Screen. But the real story here is the unique design choices made for the S Pen holster. With this case, you’ll actually fold back the hinge cover and place the S Pen within. When closed, the Fold 3 will remain protected and keep your S Pen from disappearing.

VRS Design Terra Guard S

Another company that does a wonderful job of offering highly-protective cases is VRS Design. The Terra Guard S for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 features a hidden compartment case housed on the phone’s hinge. You need to slide down the compartment to reveal your S Pen and slide it back up until you need it again. VRS Design does note that while this case will work with “most” wireless chargers, your mileage may vary.

Samsung Flip Cover with Detachable S Pen

The last option on this list is the most obvious one, and that’s the official Samsung Flip Cover for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. And honestly, the only reason why this case made the list is because Samsung actually includes the S Pen in the bundle. With all of the other options listed, you will need to spring for the S Pen Fold Edition yourself if you don’t have it already. But even if you end up picking up Samsung’s Flip Cover, we don’t expect that you’ll actually be using it for long. The front protective flap doesn’t offer that much protection and doesn’t really stay in place either, making it rather frustrating. But hey, at least Samsung includes the S Pen, right?
