Fire Emblem: Three Houses Show
Essentially an upgraded Thief, the Assassin is far more combat savvy thanks to "Swordfaire", which will boost Sword damage. Like the Thief, they require skill in Sword (Rank B) and Bow (Rank C) to certify into and boost those skills in combat (Sword +3 Skill XP, Bow +2 Skill XP). Their boosts to DEX, SPD and LCK are welcome, as are the Assassin's excellent growth rates (+20% in HP, DEX and SPD with no penalties!). The return of "Locktouch" and the ability to move unhindered over rough terrain are also welcome. Where the Assassin differs from the Thief (aside from the aforementioned higher Skill XP, stat and growth rates) is flavor. As a shadowy killer, the
Assassin has the "Stealth" ability, which makes foes less likely to attack them in combat - although they'll always attack an Assassin over doing nothing, so it's not much of a boon if you're isolated. The Assassin also has two class mastery bonuses, "Lethality" give the Assassin a chance to outright kill foes when they deal damage (chance is equal to 1/4 of their DEX stat - this ability loses some of its luster when you realize bosses are generally immune) and the "Assassinate" combat art,
which, like Lethality, has a chance to kill foes outright. You must be an Assassin and use a Sword to make use of the Assassinate combat art.
