We got charged "Past due" balance, even when the payment showed received, when it was scheduled to come out. seven days later i got a notice saying payment was reversed and i got charged for past due, but not a late fee. If that makes sense. I called them directly and talked to Lance, who was the manager, with this issue. Who was not willing to cooperate, and gave me an attitude in the process. So when i asked to speak to higher management above him, he tried to tell me he can schedule a call two to three business days with a representatives. Like no that's not what i asked. I wanted a name of a higher management - there is always a higher management above someone - and he could not provide me the information i needed. Showed how knowledgeable staff of Capital one really is. I am willing to refinance my car and work with another bank for this simple fact.
Mr. Jonathan VinesJan 20, 2021 I used CapitalOne Auto Finance for my vehicle in 2016. In December 2019, my vehicle was deemed a total loss by insurance who then paid the full amount, including interest, to CapitalOne. Thereafter I was issued my check. Several weeks after receiving my check, I was contacted a couple times by CapOne about an overdue payment which I explained that the car was paid in full and totaled by insurance. Also, I had already received my check, so theirs would be sitting in their inbox at the address provided and also, that I would not be paying additional interest because of their inability to cash the check. Yesterday, I was contacted by CapOne based on the interest that accrued during this 40 day period and was told my credit would be hit if not paid. Also, was told that I shouldn't be bothered by a small amount (from a multi-billion dollar company) and it wasn't worth arguing. I supplied check# w/ date to supervisor who refused to help me. four years w/o a late payment and this is my return.
