Can you screen print on nylon

My advice would be, anytime you're learning how to do something new, you're going to ruin at least one piece.

I would like to point out that the jackets you linked to are polyester with a water resistant coating. You're going to have a more forgiving time with polyester.

As I'm not super familiar with printing onto water resistant coated things, I would check and make sure your ink is rated for that. The spec sheet you provided does not list a curing temp for 100% polyester, so you may have issues with that ink. You can probably contact your supplier to make sure.

you can buy what are essentially test strips for your oven to see how hot it is getting. This will help you make sure you're not overcuring or undercuring your ink.

As far as setting the jacket on fire, you won't know until you try :)

I thought it would be fun to share with you the process by which nylon or satin jackets are printed with a 1 color design. Due to the shrinking abilities of the synthetic material in the jacket shell it is very difficult to print multi colors with any degree of registration. It can be done but you should be extremely experienced to try that. Now I haven’t printed this type of thing in many years so it was fun to make this video for you all. I hope you enjoy it! 🙂

If you have never thought about expanding your product offerings this is an excellent video to watch. After you watch the video you’ll be ready to look at offering 1 color printed jackets to your customer base and perhaps increase sales especially if you are in a region that has a lot of cold weather.
