Blood on my hands tears in my eyes. I can't believe the words I hear ‘em say today Things we choose to ignore
Blood on my hands – Tears in my eyes The sound of silence echoes in my head today Things we choose to ignore Blood on my hands – Tears in my eyes I got blood on my hands - you got tears in your eyes Woo-ooh-ooh Blood on my hands – Tears in my eyes What we've done tonight! WHAT WE'VE DONE TONIGHT! Artist: Five for Fighting Five For Fighting singer-songwriter John Ondrasik has released a new song that’s very critical of the US withdrawal strategy from Afghanistan. The Grammy-nominated artist
wrote his new track “Blood On My Hands” shortly after learning of the suicide bombing in Kabul that left 13 US military dead and dozens of Afghans. The suicide bombing was followed by a shootout between Islamic State gunmen at the gate, where the night before there had been 5,000 Afghans and potentially Americans seeking access to the airport to flee then that the Taliban were taking the country as President Joe Biden stuck to the decision to withdraw his troops after two decades. In his
song, Ondrasik uses lyrics that seem directly critical of the withdrawal plan. Lyrics for Blood on My Hands by Five for Fighting Got blood on my hands Got blood on my hands And I don′t understand what's happening There′s blood on these hands And still Americans left to the Taliban Now how's that happening? Winkin', blinkin′, can′t you look me in the eyes? Willy Milley, tell me when did you decide? This we'll defend Your sacred motto now means: never mind Hands Got blood on my hands Got blood on my hands Flag of the Taliban Over Afghanistan General Austin, is there no honor in shame? Can you spell Bagram without the letters in blame? Did uncle Joe stick a drip in your veins? Hands I can′t hear her scream if she's not, she′s not She's not on TV I can′t hear him scream if he's not, he's not He′s not on TV To every Afghan ally that we left behind Every child who won′t know freedom Faces covered and blind As for this American promise Now shit in the fire Hands Got blood on our hands Hey Joe, just one American (who, who, who) Asking What's happening?
