When you stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown / Magnificent Mile, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue. This is an overpriced budget hotel in downtown Chicago. The corner king room on the fourth floor was dry cramped. Very small bathroom- the toilet was 12” from the tub so knees were touching the shower curtain when sitting - and I am 5’7”. Anyone taller would be really cramped. The main door didn’t seal properly so a stream of light came through the doorframe. Beware before booking a room in this hotel.

I didnt like the fact when the rooms was available for early check in the receptionist denies it. But when others came after us they were able to check in early.

Water leaking through the ceiling, and you could hear all activity in the hall. Definitely didn’t help that we were right in front of the elevators and on the same floor as breakfast area too. But beds were comfy, staff was friendly, and rooms were spacious

Overall, this was a nice and reasonably priced hotel for the area; it was close to the Magnificent Mile and had easy access to restaurants and transportation. The breakfast had lots of good choices. The property was clean. Check-in and checkout were easy. My one complaint was that I could hear a lot of street noise from my room during the night; I'm really glad I brought my ear plugs.

The location was very good for dining and shopping. The overall accommodations were decent, with a few small things that were off. Having continental breakfast included made this a reasonable choice for pricing.
