2015 nissan rogue oil filter mobil 1

Q: Could I use Mobil 1 5W-30 Extended Performance Oil & Mobil1 M1-108 Oil Filter on 2015 NISSAN ROUGE?

Hi everyone.

I recently bought a 2015 Nissan Rogue. As my first new car.

I was wondering If i use Mobil 1 5W-30 Extended Performance Full Synthetic Motor Oil & (Mobil1) M1-108 Extended Performance Oil Filter on it?

For longer engine life and better performance??

Please share you views and advise me.

Thanks so much!!

My car has 5000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

I checked the oil specifications for your engine and it calls for 0w20 oil and 5w30 as an alternate. As far as the oil filter, I do not have the Mobile 1 application chart, but you should be fine if it was meant for your application. If you are using the 5w30 versus the 0w20 you may notice a slight drop in fuel mileage. The thinner oil is meant to lube the smaller areas that the thicker oil cannot get to and also may be better for fuel mileage. If it was me, I would run the 0w20 full synthetic. I have a vehicle with over 240,000 miles on it now, and running the 0w20 full synthetic and has never let me down.

The Engine Oil Filter does as the name describes; it filters the motor oil that flows through the engine. As this oil travels through and reduces friction between engine components, the Engine Oil Filter collects and traps contaminants, so they don't make their way into your car's engine.

While your engine is working to maintain your car, it burns fuel and produces things such as sludge and debris. If your vehicle cannot properly filter out these contaminants because you have an unclean or blocked Engine Oil Filter, they can go on to blend with your motor oil and could ultimately result in costly repairs.

When the Engine Oil Filter in your vehicle hasn't been replaced, it can become clogged with all of this excessive gunk. What might happen when an Engine Oil Filter is overloaded with this damaging material? Your fuel efficiency and fluid pressure could begin to decline, and your Nissan's exhaust system may get damaged and start to give off the smell of burning oil.

So when should you change your Engine Oil Filter? Typically, your Engine Oil Filter change should occur as often as you change your motor oil. If you take frequent shorter drives or if you do tons of freeway driving, you may need to change it out more regularly to protect your vehicle's engine efficiency.

Can you install your filter on your own? Maybe, but it might involve some delicate navigation around the engine to reach the filter.

Consult your owner's manual before changing out your filter to keep from injuring yourself or damaging critical engine pieces. Overall, it might be a better idea to have your Engine Oil Filter replaced by an authorized Nissan service center instead.
