If there's one thing Laredo has a love for it's tacos. Mexican restaurants dot the landscape far and wide in the Gateway City, but one of Laredo's most visited breakfast spots lies at Stripes convenience stores.
Nearly every morning, long lines are seen at local Stripes, a clear sign of Laredo's adoption its tocayo -- the Laredo Taco Company restaurants -- that are in nearly every Stripes in Laredo and throughout the state.
And this Tuesday, the Laredo Taco Company will be paying back some of that love, hosting a viewing party for the first episode of its new "Made Right Here Road Trip" series, which will feature the Gateway City in a starring role.
The free public screening with run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Average Joe's Parking Lot at 9652 McPherson Road.

Host of the series Mando Rayo, a journalist known for his work on the United Tacos of America TV series and the Tacos of Texas book, will be on location at the event along with Laredo radio personality Sammy "The House" Ramirez.
Ramirez is featured in the episode, as the ambassador for Laredo, giving Rayo his first-hand account of Laredo's culture.
"Laredo sometimes gets a bad rap in media with too many negative headlines. The truth is there is more to Laredo, and I had the opportunity to share our story in the first episode," Ramirez said in a press release. "I love that this series tells our truth about how wonderful the city of Laredo is and the great things we have to offer. This series is deeply connected to more than just taco culture, it’s connected to the community itself."
In addition to free admission to the party, attendees will also be given free Laredo Taco Company tacos, free raffle tickets and door prizes.
