College baseball’s opening weekend has arrived, and the three-month Road to Omaha starts in earnest on Friday with the beginning of non-conference play.

For the seventh straight year, Oregon State will get its campaign underway in Surprise, Arizona. The Beavers are once again hosting the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic at Surprise Stadium, with New Mexico, Gonzaga, and Xavier joining them in a four-team field. The first weekend of action in Arizona pits Oregon State against Gonzaga and New Mexico twice apiece, and they’ll play a three-game series against Xavier starting on February 25th.

BeaverBlitz will be on hand at Surprise Stadium for all the action in week one of the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic.
