There are no concrete leaks or rumours for the PS Now April 2022 free games but there are predictions online as fans await the release date for the next batch of PlayStation Plus freebies that include SpongeBob.
Next month isn’t as packed with big games as February or March. However, there’s still a slew of good titles set to come out such as MLB The Show 22, Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, and a racing game called SlipStream.
Seeing as it’s not the busiest of months, Sony loyalists are hoping that PlayStation will provide some more freebies that are better than the forthcoming Plus selection.

Our PS Now April 2022 free games predictions include Ghost of Tsushima.
Marvel’s Spider-Man, The Last of Us 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and other major Sony exclusives have joined the subscription service in the past. Ghost of Tsushima hasn’t, but it feels a matter of when rather than if.
Only issue is that its Legends multiplayer was part of Plus for March 2022. Therefore, the turn around might be too soon.
Another possibility is perhaps Persona 5. This is because it is leaving the PS Plus Collection for PS5 users on May 11th. So maybe it or Royal will join PS Now in April or May, or perhaps this is a sign it will be part of the PS Plus Extra/Premium package coming out in June.
Another game we feel could be included is The Outer Wilds. We’ve also guessed this as part of PS Plus before, but it returned to Xbox Game Pass in January and there’s sometimes a parallel between Microsoft and Sony’s subscription services.
Stardew Valley would be a good addition as it’s never joined Sony’s subscription services before despite arriving on Game Pass in December 2021.
Some prediction threads on Reddit have guessed Guardians of the Galaxy because Avengers joined before. Guardians of the Galaxy is a great game that has just come to Game Pass, but we wouldn’t expect it to arrive before PS Plus Extra/Premium.
While we hope the freebies will be good, it’s hard to predict what will be added as games like the Demon’s Souls Remake and Sackboy A Big Adventure feel better suited as launch offerings PS Plus Extra/Premium.

The release date for the PS Now and Plus April 2022 free games is April 5th.
Sony’s next batch of PlayStation Plus freebies are SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, Slay the Spire, and Hood Outlaws and Legends. It’s not the greatest month of all time especially seeing as Slay the Spire is already part of Now.
While we wait for next month, don’t forget to add Sonic Team Racing, Ark Survival Evolved, and Ghostrunner to your PlayStation Plus collection.
