Does listening to affirmations while sleeping work reddit

If so what has your experience been ? I found this one on youtube which seems like it could be effective but wanted to see what your thoughts were. For me I think that having an edge on the eight hours that I'm asleep using it for trying to solidify my manifestations could be a good strategy. I am usually doing something during every hour of the day to try and deepen my knowledge, confidence, and level of attraction but during my sleep I am unaware of just how efficacious of an impact of intent these affirmations have. Am very interested in your thoughts!

I would say for the past 2-3 months I would fall asleep to my SATS manifestations, but quite honestly, I feel literally all my desired manifestations to be complete, and that SATS are no longer necessary.

I have a (proven) belief that if I fall asleep listening to some content such as an uplifting audiobook, I still receive positive benefit, as my subconscious still receives the information and integrates this knowledge in its own way.

For the past two nights, I have fallen asleep listening to “The Complete Reader” with headphones. I have done some light SATS and have fallen asleep to the audiobook.

These past two nights have honestly been the best sleep I’ve had in years. I’ve also had the most empowering and positive dreams I’ve had in years.

Highly recommended.

I AM.

I have done lots of work with sleep affirmation for a lomg time, listening to 8 hour affirmation videos to reprogram the mind while I sleep, however I was doing it from a place of ego, wanting something out of it, wanting to manifest something, feel more complete in my "sense of self" etc. But recently I had a switch in consciousness and realised that I wasn't nearly as "woke" as I had myself believe, it was just another "self" image Anyway, I spent some time looking for sleep affirmations that correspond with our true nature rather than the regular "I am abundant" "I am wealthy" type of sleep affirmations. I could not find a single one but I really like mooji's mantra - "pure awareness, I am" so I went ahead and made an 8 hour loop of it.

I am just wondering what other think of this, do you think having this play during sleep could embed itself into the subconscious and somehow assist in the awakening process?

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks 🙏

I think the most effective use of the affirmation/intentions loop would be to describe a scene you want in detail.

You could also do affirmation but say the affirmation and then give proof that it is happening with appreciation. For example, you could say, "I'm a magnet for money". Then you might say. This week I had that check in the mail that I hadn't expected. I got a raise last month at work, I found money on the ground. Someone gave me a free coffee. I had a free dinner. I received a gift certificate, etc - things that have happened that are true. Or I also use the word abundance instead of money so I start thinking of how abundant my garden is, how amazing the food that me and my husband make is, how I love the way my mater bathroom feels now that I painted it - it feels luxurious now.

I'd even tell myself that as I sleep I am noticing proof.

I'd play this not only before going to sleep but a few times during the day. Just start the recording, take three deep breaths, roll your eyes as high as you can in your head then bring the eyes back down to a comfortable level when they can relax - focus on the good feelings while you are listening.

Every night, with your eyes closed as you drift off to sleep, you think this affirmation to yourself.

My subconscious mind automatically gives me my every want and desire. If I want to work for it, my subconscious mind gives me that too. Big or small, nothing is impossible to the infinite intelligence/God within me. Everything I want and desire, is mine now.

(You can shorten it or adapt it to your needs. The idea is to program godlike faith into your subconscious, so that everything you want comes easily and effortlessly. There may be a case when you wanna work for what you want, so this should cover that too.. )

You can do whatever you want in the daytime. You can affirm it, add more affirmations to it whatever.. If you still wanna do SATs, do it in the daytime, or whatever you're free. It won't harm your general affirmation manifestation.

But every night sleep with that affirmation.  Do it every day without fail for a long period of time, (for the rest of your life or at least until you have everything you want) and it should cover everything. :)  The trick is to do it consistently, no matter what happens in the 3D. Because if you do it long enough, eventually you'll believe it so strongly, nothing can shake your faith and you'll have everything you want with ease.

(If you wanna do this in the daytime instead of night, you can too. Lay down, close your eyes, stay still, and repeat the affirmation over and over again in your head as you drift into a sleepy drowsy state. I recommend do at for at least 30 minutes. But it's ultimately up to you. Just remember whatever time you decide to do it, do it consistently every day. )

Have fun manifesting everyone! :) I been doing this for a short while now, and all my little manifestations are happening automatically now. It's pretty much a short cut to make things easier for those who want it. I'll definitely continue with this and let you know my progress! :)

Does listening to affirmations while you sleep work?

Listening to affirmations while sleeping reaches our brains as subliminal messages. Due to the reason that only the subconscious mind is being stimulated. That explains why listening to affirmations while sleeping actually works better.

Do affirmations work if you just listen to them?

According to a recent study by the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, practicing affirmations—whether listening to pre-recordings or creating your own, it helps lower stress by alleviating perceptions of threat and defensiveness by expanding self worth through broader dispositional self-views.

Do affirmations reprogram your mind?

Just as thinking about how much we hate our jobs, or how much we hate our messy roommate only solidifies those thought patterns in our cognition, repeating empowering and uplifting affirmations to ourselves regularly can help us reprogram the unconscious habits in the way we think.
