When entering the lobby, we noticed stained and dirty floor mats and carpeting, so our first impression was not great. The location was convenient and our room was clean, but it needed some TLC. Two burned out light bulbs, one of which was the primary lighting when we entered the dark room was a bit disconcerting. A patch on the wall that needed to be painted over, and an odor from the sink did not help improve our impression. We have traveled extensively throughout COVID and assume that the lack of lobby cleanliness and basic room upkeep are due to a lack of staff. Since the bedding and bathroom were clean and the staff was friendly, we were willing to overlook these annoyances. But I cannot in good conscience give a 4* rating at this time. Hopefully, things will improve with the economy.

Our bathroom was not clean. There was someone else’s hair on the floor and on the shower walls. There was also pubic hair in the shower. The beds were like sleeping on plywood. The photos from this property do not match the actual conditions of the property. I’ve stayed at a Country Inn & Suites before and this is FAR below Raddison standards. I’ll not be giving my business to this property again the next time we visit the Ark.

The staff was so friendly! The hotel was obviously understaffed (like everywhere else these days) but went above & beyond to make customers happy. The only complaint I have is they advertise a full breakfast. Due to staffing shortage, it is a brown bag with granola bars, pastries, etc. Not what we anticipated.
