"Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is now available to stream at home. The superhero movie's video-on-demand (VOD) release comes less than two months after it hit theaters on October 1. You can buy the comic book action flick from popular streaming retailers like Prime Video and Vudu for $20.
The story focuses on the Marvel universe's Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), a journalist who has bonded with a powerful alien symbiote called Venom. When a psychotic serial killer, Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), pairs with another symbiote, he becomes the alien villain known as Carnage. With Carnage on the loose, Brock and Venom attempt to stop his deadly rampage.
"Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is part of Sony's Spider-Man Universe of Marvel films, which is separate from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) of interconnected movies. Though Venom and Spider-Man are both Marvel comic book characters, Sony still holds the rights to make movies based on those properties. That said, Sony and Marvel Studios have a deal that allows Spider-Man to appear in the MCU, so it's possible Venom could show up in other MCU movies if both studios agree to it.

You can watch "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" through several popular VOD retailers. The movie is available to buy from Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, Microsoft Movies, and Apple TV for $20. You can stream the film in up to 4K with high dynamic range (HDR) and Dolby Atmos if your app and gear support those formats.

Once purchased, you can stream "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" as many times as you like. A cheaper rental option is expected to become available on December 14, but pricing hasn't been confirmed. You typically get 30 days to start watching a streaming rental, and then 48 hours to finish a movie once you hit play.
VOD apps are available on most mobile devices, smart TV brands, and media players. You should check each retailer's site to ensure that your device is compatible with its app before making your purchase.
Where to watch 'Venom' (2018)
If you'd like to catch up on the first "Venom" movie before streaming the sequel, you have a few options to watch it. "Venom" is currently available to stream through the FXNow app, which requires a cable subscription to the FX channel.
Outside of FXNow, you can rent or buy the movie from VOD retailers like Prime Video, Vudu, Microsoft Movies, and Apple TV. Fees vary depending on the store and quality you choose, but rentals are available for as low as $3.
"Venom" is also available to purchase on Blu-ray ($6) and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray ($10) for buyers who prefer to own a disc copy of the movie.
