The Walking Dead season 11 is currently airing on AMC, but when should those who are watching it on Netflix expect new episodes of the show?
It’s hard to believe that The Walking Dead is ending this year. The show is considered part of the TV fabric to so many people that it’s hard to imagine a world without it on. After all, it has been airing new episodes for over a decade now.
It’s a good thing that it will live on through its legacy, as there are various spin-off shows set in the TWD Universe, both on air now and in development for the future. Another way it will live on is through streaming, as whatever streamers house the beloved series will undoubtedly attract plenty of new TWD fans to it in the future.

That said, don’t expect it to show up until December at the very earliest. While fans certainly weren’t ruling out the possibility of the show’s eleventh season debuting on Netflix in installments given that the hiatuses between them have been so long (and that Netflix original shows are often split into parts these days), that has not happened. Thus, it’s highly likely that the whole season will arrive at once, and that will understandably be after the series finale airs in November.
The most likely possibility for The Walking Dead‘s season 11 release date on Netflix is 2023 as that leaves some window of time between its conclusion on AMC and its eventual immortalization on the streaming service.
Of course, that’s just a prediction, and it’s best to wait for some kind of official announcement before getting too excited about a release. Just know that it will happen some time after the series finale airs on TV.
