Audi recommends using oil with the printed specifications of "Audi oil standard 502 00" on its container. The 2010 A5 uses SAE 5W-40. If not available, you can use SAE 5W-30 or 0W-40 as long as it meets the specifications previously listed.

The first generation of the Audi A5 series was manufactured and sold between 2007 and 2016. A number of different body versions were available including the Coupe (Type 8T), Cabriolet (Type 8F) and the four-door Sportback S5. Since 2018, the 2nd generation of the Audi A5 has been available and once again comes as a coupe, convertible and Sportback variant (also in highly sporty Audi S5 and Audi RS5 versions). Three ways to change the oil on the Audi A5
1) The cheapest way is to do the oil change yourself. You will need to order 5 litres of engine oil and the oil filter. Use the remaining oil to top up if the oil level is too low due to oil consumption and the oil lamp lights up.
2) Have the oil changed at an independent workshop. You can order the engine oil and oil filter and take it to a local garage for the oil change. You can use leftover engine oil later to top up to the correct oil level when oil is used up.
3) In the Audi workshop, keeping to the oil change interval is expensive. A litre of oil costs more here than if you buy online yourself and the work costs more too.
