The number you have dialed has calling restrictions straight talk

If you are wondering how to get around Verizon calling restrictions, you are at the right place.

It’s unfortunate if all you’re hearing is an automated message when trying to reach someone using Verizon phone services.

If this is the case, there is the possibility that your number is being blocked and luckily you can get it fixed pretty easily.

The automated message will not tell you that your number is blocked, instead, it will let you know that the person you are trying to reach is not receiving calls now. Therefore, you cannot know for sure whether you’re blocked or not.

In that regard, we have prepared a handful of methods to try and hopefully get your Verizon number calling again. So, without much delay, let’s start!

Here you will learn how to find out if your Verizon number is blocked and how to get around the calling restrictions. We are also contacting customer service so make sure to pay close attention.

Method #1 Call from Different Number

The fastest way to find out whether your number is blocked or not would be to try calling using another number. If you receive the same automated message, then the issue is not coming from your number and there’s nothing to worry about.

Note:

Verizon is not able to block mobile numbers that are outside of Verizon’s calling area.

To complete this method, we recommend using a mobile number that is not associated with Verizon, preferably from a different supplier.

If you are, however, able to reach the person using another mobile number, then in our next method we are going to contact Verizon directly.

Method #2 Contact Verizon

To contact Verizon customer service, you would need to dial “0” from your device’s phone book.

Verizon cannot block calls to the operator so should not have any issues contacting them for an over-phone conversation.

It is recommended to prepare your full name, and reason for calling.

From there you can describe your issue and hopefully, the support team will unblock your number. In case they don’t at least you will have feedback on why it is blocked.

Note:

There is an extra charge for calls with the Verizon over-phone customer service.

If you don’t feel like speaking on the phone, feel free to check their contact us page and continue from there. You can leave mail or schedule a suitable time for a phone conversation.

Method #3 Bypass Calling Restrictions (Block)

Here you will learn how to bypass Verizon calling restrictions really easily. Did you know that you can block your own number, so it appears as “Private” or “Unknown” on the other end?

You can do that by dialing “*67” and without using a space, insert the Verizon number you’re trying to reach.

Even if your number is blocked, the receiver on point B, will not be able to read the number and you will successfully make a call.

The downside here is that if the person you are calling has your number labeled in their phonebook, it will not associate the call with it. As we mentioned it will appear as a private or unknown caller ID.

Method #4 Check If Your Number Is Blocked

Regardless of your target’s carrier, if your number is on their ban list, there is nothing you can do except call an unknown caller (method #3).

On the other hand, such an issue can appear if the receiver has changed his number recently.

Try reaching out to the mobile number holder, and check if your number has somehow appeared in their block list.

If it is not there, you could try to block it and unblock it. Those settings can be found on any smartphone under Call Restrictions or Call & Massage Block tabs.

In case your number is blocked by the person and not Verizon, here is the message you would hear:

“- Welcome to Verizon Wireless. We’re sorry the number you have dialed has to call restrictions that have prevented the completion of your call”.

On the other hand, you can check your device’s block list in case the number you’re trying to reach is there. Make sure to remove it and try calling again.
