Basic Purpose

A Day in the Life of your role - This is based in a call center environment, where Member Service Representatives answer inbound calls and assist members with general account questions through various channels including phone, chat, email, etc.

  • Assist members with service needs related to their accounts.
  • Connect members with applications and products to meet their financial needs (consumer/mortgage/equity loans, overdraft protection and credit card applications)
  • Educate current and prospective members about Navy Federal's products and

services

  • Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product usage
  • Perform account transactions and adjustments.
  • Interact tactfully and effectively in difficult situations
  • Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial

products and services (training will be provided)

Additional Info

  • Starting pay ranges from $17.00/hour to $18.50/hour
  • Corporate incentive plan eligibility (0%-27% annual bonus based on individual and organization performance levels)
  • Shift premiums available for night and weekend schedules.
  • Additional compensation may be available for achieving competency and/or proficiency milestones.

Hours: Our Call Center operates 24/7: hours based on business needs.

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

What does a MSR do at Navy Federal?

The Member Service Representative (MSR) is responsible for providing a variety of services to credit union members and acts as a liaison between the member and the credit union. The MSR reports to the MSR Supervisor.

How long is Navy Federal hiring process?

Make sure your credit is good. It is different for everyone. The process took about 2 weeks. I had the interview one week, heard something the next week and started working within 2 weeks after I left my other job.

Do you have to be in the military to join Navy Federal?

The Ties That Bind To be a member of the credit union, you must be a veteran, have current ties to the armed forces, Department of Defense, or National Guard, or have an immediate family member who has a membership with Navy Federal. Once you join, membership is for life.

What is an MSR representative?

The Member Service Representative (MSR) will report to the MS Supervisor, Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager or other designee. They will work with members to meet financial service needs through processing transactions and suggesting new products or services.
