WHAT IS A MINI LIP AUGMENTATION?
So, the mini lip is a very conservative lip augmentation. It's not a full syringe. It's about 0.7. This is a lip augmentation that I typically do on people that have already had their lips done and they just kind of want to touch up, or a person that's never had their lips done and is very scared to get them done and worried that it's going to change their whole appearance. This is how I inch them into injections to show them that one lip augmentation is just going to help give you more of a hydrated look. It's not going to make you look overdone. This is a very conservative look.
OK, so the instructions before getting dermal fillers are pretty easy. No alcohol consumption, 24 to 48 hours. That's going to thin the blood and you don't want anything that thins the blood because it can open you up to extra bruising. So, that also goes for NSAIDs. Another thing that you want to avoid before you get injections is any laser treatments or strong chemical peels on the skin for about two weeks.
So, post-op instructions are pretty simple. For 24 hours after getting injections, you want to avoid working out. You want to avoid saunas. And, you also want to avoid any kind of excessive laser treatments, chemical peels, or anything like that. You want to just basically take two days off. The only thing you want to be doing is icing the area that got injected.
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Things you want to avoid 2 weeks prior:
Things you should avoid 24/48 hrs prior:
No NSAIDS (Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, etc)
Things you should do day of:
*Please let us know if you are on medical blood thinners or have a condition that you are using NSAIDs.*
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Post Op is pretty simple, keep the area iced to help reduce swelling and redness. The full recovery time for most injectables is 4 to 6 weeks. The healing process is never even so the swelling has the potential to be uneven over time.
Please report any redness, itching or blisters if it occurs, it is extremely important to let us know.
Things you want to avoid the following for the next 24 to 48 hrs:
Any type of facial treatment (lashes, facials, etc)
Avoid all facial laser treatments for 2 weeks
