Lyrics amazing grace shall always be my song of praise

Amazing Grace shall always be my song of praise.  For it was grace that bought my liberty.  I do not know just why he came to love me so.  He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.  I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary, to view the cross where Jesus died for me.  How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul.  He looked beyond my faults and saw my need.”

By Dottie Rambo (Sung to the tune of Danny Boy)

This hymn is a favorite of mine and lately it has been on my mind.  When I wake each morning, I praise and thank God for allowing me and my loved ones to see another day.  Without God’s Amazing Grace, where would we be?  We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Just remember that God knows what we are going to do before we do it.  He has already forgiven us, but we must go to Him in truth and faith and He will bless us with His Amazing Grace.

John 1:16-17

16From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:23

23For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

2 Corinthians 12:9

9And he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Ephesians 1:5-7

5Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.  6To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. 7In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

***Weekly Trivia***

Last week’s trivia question asked  “What event caused the people of Lystra to call Paul and Barnabas gods”?  The answer is found in Acts 14: 8-13.  Paul healed a lame man who had never walked a day in his life .

This week’s trivia question ask you to continue search the book of Acts for the answer.

When Paul was being led away by Roman soldiers to protect him from an angry Jewish mob, he asked permission to speak to those Jews gathered in Jerusalem.  What language did he use to speak to the Roman Commander?
