How to remove a video from facebook that someone else uploaded

YouTube is a great way to share information about your business and services with a huge network of users, but sometimes you will encounter videos you find objectionable or possibly detrimental to your company. While you can’t directly remove videos others have uploaded, there is a reporting system in place to have YouTube review and remove content if it violates the Terms of Service or the law.

Wave the Flag

  1. Under each video on YouTube is a toolbar with buttons that perform different actions, with a Flag icon appearing on the far right. This is the flagging tool which allows you to report a video to YouTube staff for review. Click the button and provide details as to why the video should be removed. If the video violates YouTube’s Community Guidelines it will be removed; but if there is no violation, the video will not be removed no matter how often it is flagged.

Additional Reporting Options

  1. If you’d like to have a video removed for copyright or trademark violations, defamation or other legal reasons, you can submit a claim via YouTube’s legal web forms (link in Resources). Select the appropriate type of legal complaint and fill out the form accordingly. Do not use the legal complaint forms for non-legal issues and do not abuse the legal complaint forms, as it can result in your YouTube account being terminated.

Billions of new images and profiles appear on Facebook every day. If a harasser is impersonating you, or someone uploads media of you without your permission, it can be difficult to know what to do. Our guide will teach you everything you need to know about how to delete images and profiles from Facebook.

How to Delete Images, Videos, and Profiles From Facebook

Why You Might Want Media Removed From Facebook

Facebook has to delete more than a billion fake accounts every few months. Hackers and cybercriminals create many of these accounts, impersonating legitimate persons. Sometimes scammers fake profiles to add people as friends and mine their data or social engineer them.

The most dangerous types of fake accounts are those that impersonate someone we know. These types of accounts can be used to trick people into giving up valuable information or even into giving hackers access to their online accounts.

If you spot one of these accounts, or if these accounts are impersonating someone you know, you should have it removed.

Someone you know may try to upload pictures or videos you don’t want on Facebook. Illicit photos are not allowed by Facebook’s terms of service.

If these sorts of images are uploaded, you should remove them right away.

How to Delete Images, Videos, and Profiles From Facebook

There are several steps that you need to take to remove images and profiles from Facebook. These actions will be different depending on whether you’re trying to remove an image or a profile.

Removing An Image or Video, You Uploaded

If the image you want to remove is on your account and you can still access it, you can easily delete it.

Log into your account and navigate to the image that you want to remove. Now, click on the three dots to the right of the post near your profile name.

Removing an Image or Video Someone Else Uploaded

If someone else uploaded images or videos of you, you’d have to rely on Facebook’s other removal options.

Your best chance is to directly report the image or video to Facebook as a violation of your privacy. You can use this Facebook form to report any media you’ve come across that violates your privacy.

Fill out the form with the most relevant information to your situation, and ensure that you have collected the URL of the image or video in question.

PLEASE NOTE: Misuse of this form could result in your account and IP address being banned by Facebook. Please ensure that all of the information you provide on this form is as accurate as possible.

You may also want to try to report the images or videos on Facebook by using Facebook’s own reporting tool. More about that here.

How to Remove Profiles from Facebook

Removing a fraudulent profile from Facebook can be difficult. Facebook has a lot of users but nowhere near enough staff to cover them all. Getting a response from the company can be incredibly difficult.

If your account is hacked and you’ve exhausted all other options, having the account deleted is a good last resort. The process of removing your hacked account is the same as removing a fraudulent account.

You can use Facebook’s ‘report an imposter account’ form to have the account removed. Go to the form page, and fill in the form to match the picture below.

You should be aware that you’ll need to upload a copy of your ID to remove the profile successfully. This is to prove that you’re not trying to have someone else’s account deleted.
