How to display battery percentage on iphone 12 pro max

This tutorial shows you how to see battery percentage on iPhone X, XR, XS, 11, 12, and 13.

With the release of the iPhone X, Apple got rid of the ability to see the battery percentage in the Status bar. Prior to this, a simple toggle was available in the Settings app that allowed one to view the battery percentage next to the battery icon.

Don’t worry though, as there are still a couple of ways to quickly check the battery percentage on the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, and the iPhone 13 Pro duo. This will work on all the iPhones that come with the notch. Here’s how to see battery percentage on the iPhone 13 series with ease.

Note that the steps described below are exactly the same for older devices such as the iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone 11, and iPhone 12 series.

Here are six ways to know the battery percentage on an iPhone with Face ID. All these methods also work on other iPhones without Face ID, like the iPhone SE 2022.

1. Use the Control Center

The easiest way to check battery percentage on newer iPhones is via the Control Center. Swipe down from the top right corner of the iPhone screen to access the Control Center. The battery percentage is shown next to the battery icon on the top right.

2. Ask Siri

Invoke Siri on your iPhone by pressing the side button or saying, “Hey Siri.” Next, ask it, “What’s the battery percentage” or simply “Battery percentage.”

3. Use the Batteries widget

Apple introduced Home Screen widgets with iOS 14, and along came the very useful battery indicator widget. You can use this widget to see the battery percentage on iPhone at all times.  Here’s how to add the batteries widget to the Home Screen:

  1. Press any empty area on the iPhone Home Screen until all apps start shaking.
  2. Tap the + button from the top left.
  3. Scroll down and tap Batteries.
  4. Select one of the three sizes and tap Add Widget.

The built-in batteries widget will always show your iPhone’s battery percentage and that of connected devices like AirPods, Apple Watch, and other supported Bluetooth accessories. Like any normal widget, you can move it to any Home Screen.

This approach is for those who want a more permanent battery indicator instead of checking the Control Center every time. With the widget, you’ll have access to the percentage right on your Home Screen. Additionally, there are dozens of third-party battery widgets in the App Store and we rounded up what we think are the best ones.

4. See iPhone battery on Apple Watch

With the iOS batteries widget, you can see the Apple Watch battery percentage on your iPhone, but not the other way round. However, third-party apps successfully fill this void.

Here’s how to see iPhone’s battery percentage on your Apple Watch:

  1. Get the Remote Battery Level for Watch on your Apple Watch.
  2. Open the app, and you will see the battery percentage of your iPhone on your Apple Watch.

  2. Tap the shortcut to know your iPhone’s battery percentage.
  3. Important: Add this shortcut to your iPhone Home Screen for a quicker approach.

Optional: In the Shortcuts app, tap the three dots icon in the top right of the Battery shortcut tile to edit the text to anything you like. You can also turn off the sound if desired.

Plus, you can add this shortcut to your Apple Watch. After that, call Siri on your watch and say the shortcut name (Battery). After you exit the Siri screen, it will show your iPhone’s battery percentage.

6. Show battery on Jailbroken iPhone

Finally, if you have jailbroken your iPhone, you can use the handy EnableBatteryPercent tweak to display the battery percentage inside the battery icon in the top status bar.

Finally, on iPhone without Face ID, you can go to the Settings app > Battery and enable Battery Percentage to display it permanently next to the battery icon in the top status bar. You won’t see the Battery Percentage toggle on iPhone with Face ID.
