Consumer Cellular Porting Instructions
Your Consumer Cellular account number can be found online or by calling Consumer Cellular. It will be a 9 digit number. There is no passcode for Consumer Cellular so you will need to use: 0000 if the carrier you are porting to requires a passcode. NOTE: The last four of a customer’s Social Security Number are required for a successful port. The name, address and last-4 numbers of the SSN must match Consumer Cellular’s records. Call the Consumer Cellular porting department if you run in to problems.
Notes: Consumer Cellular is a GSM MVNO that uses AT&T and T-Mobile towers to provide service. They do sell their own branded devices and (in many cases) support BYOD activations but we were told that features like MMS messaging and mobile data may not always work on all devices. The customer service rep we spoke with was very helpful.
Please contact Best Cellular customer service if you need help or can’t find what you’re looking for in our list of United States mobile virtual network operators and wireless communications service providers.
