Can you keep a secret nudity

Thinking they're about to crash, Emma spills her secrets to a stranger on a plane. At least, she thought he was a stranger...Until she later meets Jack, her company's young CEO, who now knows every humiliating detail about her.

Can You Keep A Secret?

Actor

Can You Keep A Secret? Is a feature film based on the blockbuster NYT bestseller by Sophie Kinsella. It stars Alexandra Daddario, Tyler Hoechlin, and lil ole me. It features a surprising amount of nudity and that nudity is exclusively my own. Enjoy!

Middling adaptation of one of my favorite rom-com novels...

Emma (Alexandra Daddario) works in marketing, and she’s trying hard to sell her concept to a group of Chicago oldies. It doesn’t go well. But that’s not the worst of it. Her flight back to New York is turbulent — so turbulent that she ends up sharing all of her embarrassing secrets to her handsome seatmate (Tyler Hoechlin). She gets home, and the nightmare is over. She’ll get to spend time with her eccentric roommates (Kimiko Glenn and Sunita Mani) and not-so-exciting boyfriend (David Ebert). And then she goes to work, where she meets Jack Harper, the new CEO. You’ve guessed it! It’s the same handsome stranger on the plane. He knows all of her secrets, and he’s intrigued with her, so much so she’s the inspiration behind his new ideas. Will Emma be OK with this?

CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET? is one of my favorite Sophie Kinsella books, right up there with the SHOPAHOLIC series and I’VE GOT YOUR NUMBER. CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC was adapted on-screen starring Isla Fisher. The movie did not live up to the book, due to all the plot changes. This movie suffers the same fate. They changed so much — so much! — that I could only describe it as a super-loose adaptation. It’s also not as funny as the book. I only laughed out loud once. It's when Emma tearfully tells Jack on the plane that she couldn’t read through GREAT EXPECTATIONS. It’s the way Daddario does it that made me giggle. She’s beautiful with lovely eyes, but she overacts a bit. I noticed it on WHY WOMEN KILL too. That’s one downside. Another one? The whole hairy butt thing. Eeww. Note to Hollywood: repetitive hairy butt shots are not funny. They’re never funny. Please stop doing this. There are cleverer and more witty ways to show that the current guy in the leading lady’s life isn’t the one. Other than that, this is a cute, fun rom-com to watch during a snowy night. Just don’t expect too much. Three out of five milk and sugar iced coffees.

Loved it so much… I came back and bought it!

Rented this movie because I told myself I couldn’t buy any more movies I’ve got way too many of them that I never watch but I ended up watching this three times during the rental period. I absolutely love it .l.it’s cute it’s adorable…quirky and the perfect romcom. Loved Alexandra Daddario as Emma… I actually clicked on this movie because I saw her in something else and I thought she was fantastic… she really does comedy well…and Tyler Hoechlin is flawless and natural as a man Who prefers being behind the scenes and out of the spotlight. Emma’s roomies are perfect comedy fodder…both actors were great! But Robert King & Laverne were favorites! Playing her best buddy in the office and her boss.. both hilarious! This is one of those fun little movies that will make you laugh and just forget about your troubles for a couple of hours! Figured I’d buy it for a few dollars more ……it’ll be one of those nice ones to watch when you need a little break from the heavier stuff.

Hilarious and Rom Com Filmmaking excellence!

I haven't seen a film this well written, casted, directed and edited in a while. Yes, very predictable love tale about the typical "cute meet" of man and woman on a plane with twists and turns. The acting and timing with editing is what makes it exceptional. The lines precede the acting and I can tell the director has impeccable intuition about the subtlety of what makes for good scenes and character building. I love the progressiveness as well with the transgender and sexual openness: this develops the healthy, liberal helping of humor. The fake, flawed society vs. being transparent and real is such a huge component to the success of the love story that is threaded here. I love the diversity of fake identity the roommate character and business characters take on. I think all walks of life from lower working class to upper can relate to Emma and Jack and their story. If you love slap stick, "The Office", "When Harry Met Sally", 80s Rom Com humor in a progressive millennium hybrid style you won't want to miss this. This is hands down outstanding laugh out loud satisfying. I had to rewind and watch some of this again.

Started off pretty silly and stupid, but got better

Verified purchase

Why oh why do writers think we can relate to someone this darn stupid!!!!!!! This isn't comedy, this is silly, uncomfortable goofy childish "humor." I think they wrote her part a bit over the top silly, but it did improve.

There is something to be learned from this video....do not listen to your girlfriends. They will just cause trouble.

I enjoyed the ending of course, I love a happy ending. I can put up with quite a bit if the movie at least has a happy ending. They were both decent actors....it was just the script that could have used improvement.

Definitely cheesy but....

It was definitely cheesy, but I definitely found myself laughing/giggle a little out loud. I would say, if you just want a simple cute movie to watch, this is a good option.

loved it!!!!!!!

The book is my favorite romantic comedy story! yes the movie didn't include the relationship with her family and it kind of bunched up the dates so it didn't show how Jack leaves her on that first date buuuttttttt overall it was a good movie! Loved the actors they chose for Emma and Jack, I think they represent the characters very well and I can see Emma's personality being the same as the book. I would of loved to see the bus scene in the movie but its ok I still liked it. for the one star reviews I suggest you read the book first to have a better idea about the characters and why Jack felt very protective of his secret.
