First off. I'm new to the forum and the jeep community. I recently bout a used 2008 Sahara. I have been wanting a jeep for a while now so I'm excited to be part of the community. My question to all of you is. How many miles have you guys been getting out of the stock Bridgestone dueler AT tires ? Am curious to know how many miles, and what your typical driving conditions are. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I had 68K on mine when I finally got the tires I wanted. They would have went probably another 10-15k. Most of mine at that time was highway. They suck IMO.

That's pretty good mileage. When you say they suck are you talking about their AT ability?

Mine have about 44k on them, decent tire for on road driving. I don't have any issues in rain and they were decent in snow. I don't get spin outs in the rain, but for any off road they probably wouldn't cut it long term. I won't be installing new Duelers

I really like my Duelers for on road driving...but mine only have about 9500 miles on them so I can't say much for longevity. For off-roading, anything more than dirt trails would probably chew them up.....but I don't do much more than dirt trails. If I found them on sale (or were getting new take-offs for cheap) I would get them again. But if not, for how "I" use them, I may go with GY Silent Armors. A lot of people go with Duratracs (that are now available in stock sizes).

On a side note, I believe the 2015 base Sports now come with Duelers instead of the horrible GY ST's.

I probably won't be doing much more then dirt trails for the most part and this jeep is my daily driver so longevity is fairly important to me. Was just curious how many miles most people are getting out of them so I know when to start planning on some new wheels and tires lol

43 k on mine and I'm only about halfway through the tread. I kinda wish they were wearing faster as I'm decided on Stock sized Duratracs as their replacement. 50 miles a day highway, lots of weekend two lane trips, twice a month light to very light wheeling. If you are looking for an all around decent a/t tire that will last, and you don't plan to rock crawl or spend time I the mud you should get your money's worth out of this tire. They have handled deep New England snow and springtime New Hampshire mud. (Got in a little over my head once) I've been fairly impressed by the Dueler. Im Just looking for something a little more aggressive. My .02

Pickups to Jeeps ain't exactly apples to apples, but I was at 68k on the set of Duelers I had on my Titan when I traded it in, and I reckon they still had another few rotations in 'em. They don't get much love here on the forum, but I thought they were a great tire. Super highway manners and good grip in rainy and snowy conditions. Forest service roads were the toughest terrain they saw, so I can't really speak to their offroad prowess, but for how I used the truck, they were awesome.

45,000 MI on mine, less than 3/4 of the tread left...It picks up a lot of stones on back roads and proceeds to eject them on my doors and rear fender flairs. I would say it holds up good in snow, rain, ice and sand but mud its poor. Never would I buy this tire, soon I will have the Toyo Open Country.

Mine were replaced at 54,000 miles. They were getting close to the wear indicators. I may have gotten less than others becasue I am 98% paved roads but did do quite a bit of max weight trailer hauling with rocks, trees, and building materials over 18 months while we were renovating our home. Personally I would agree they did well in rain and snow. I cannot really speak to their off road capabilities as my experiences were limited to fire roads and gravel roads.

I had over 70,000 on mine when I replaced them with the same from Tire Rack. And they could have lasted longer I think if it wasn't winter.

Bought my 08JK with 15k on it and ran the Duelers to 25K. Not too bad for general pavement & lightweight (smooth) fire roads.

However, I ran into a sudden flash downpour on flat wide pavement that sudden left maybe an inch of standing water as I came into a corner. Brief episode of hair rising hydroplaning.

Don't know whether the electronic stuff helped, my lighting cat-like survival reflexes or the sudden near offering of the contents of my lower intestinal track, but I recovered without incident other than high heart rate.

The next day traded for Kelly TSRs. They gave me are real good trade as there was lotsa miles left on the Duelers.

I had 'em off road a couple times with due caution, as 2 ply isn't my comfort zone for such exploration. Unhappy with a couple minor muddy-run-off rivulets on a moderate uphill dirt slope in the forest.

Not to hijack here, but what tire would you all recommend for 90% paved, 10% Forest roads with minor ruts environment ?

Hey All. I know this thread is old, but it seems like a relevant place to post. I purchased my Jeep JKU used. Came with P255/70/R18 Dueler A/T tires. Right now I've got 40k on the Jeep and the tires. The previous owner had never rotated in the spare tire, so all 4 seem to be sitting at an even wear, but the spare is still brand new. I was hoping to rotate in the spare to extend the overall length span of the 5 tires. Is 40k way too late to start rotating in my brand new spare? There's more than a 1/4" of wear on my tires so far, so I worry that that would make a noticeable difference. Anyone have any experience in this area? Thanks guys!

Do not rotate in the spare if the other 4 tires have 40K miles on them. At this point you'll simply need to replace 4 tires when necessary, and then you can rotate in the spare.

Don't have the 18's but we're please with the 16's we're currently running. The only reason we did this was to give us some breathing room until we could actually set aside time to order a better set up. I wasn't thrilled with the lesser 16 stock tires.. so we opted for the 16's with 31'' duelers. Currently 3K mile +/- on them. (little bouncy even with the correct PSI)

I think these are great tires for daily driving with occasional, off-roading. I've had several sets over the years and my trucks and had great luck with them. If you plan to keep your Jeep stock, I recommend sticking with them.

I just replaced mine at 50K (2014 Sahara U) with new 17 x 9 Mayhem Warrior wheels and 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires. They widened the stance of the Jeep and filled in the fender wells nicely. The best thing is the stock look is finally gone! I bought 5 and plan to rotate the spare every 5k miles.

Regarding tire size, this is about the largest tire you can put on an unlifted JK without experiencing issues. There's lots of good info/threads on wheels and tires on WF.

Good luck
