I'm looking for the leak detection pump on a 99 GC. The canister was moved from the front to the back sometime between 99 and 04. So not sure if the pump was moved too. The 99 purge valve is in the engine bay by the canister. I think the 04 was too.

on my 2004 4.7L its behind the drivers side rear quarter panel underneath the gas filler door but I thought the 1999s were in the engine compartment

The purge valve is attached to the canister in the 99 under the hood. The canister for the 04 is in the back. I think the purge valve on the 04 is under the hood, not sure. I'm looking for the detection pump on the 99.

On my 4.0L it's behind the left headlight next to the radiator underneath the intake filter box inside the engine compartment.

I appreciate the reply. I'm not seeing it tho. No loose connections Windshield water reservoir is there taking up most of the room. Nothing between it and the filter box. Wheel well cover is missing so I can see in there. Nothing.
